Mercury Transits Sagittarius – (January 3 – 24)
On the 3rd of January, Mercury which had been transiting through Scorpio and was Retrograde, moves over to the sign of Sagittarius and would be here till the 24th . Mercury through Sagittarius gives us a wonderful opportunity to find our place yet again. Though Sagittarius is a friendly territory for Mercury, Sagittarius’ ruler Jupiter is now retrograding in Taurus and this might bring some confusions around. We are asked to take stock of our hopes and look for ways to grow and expand. Mercury helps us to get a clear picture of what we are to build later on through the year and how we would move ahead. Mercury in Sagittarius helps us to stay healthy, focussed and look out for self- care. Self-acceptance is very much favored during this transit, love your own self and shine. Have hope that everything would fall in place at the right instance.
Full Moon in Gemini-January 13
The first Full Moon for the year and January occurs at 30 degrees of Gemini on the 13th . During this Moon transit, the Sun would be opposing it from 30 degrees of Sagittarius. On this Full Moon day, we would feel as if we are on the brink of a change. We are asked to plan and move forward, at the same time being cautious. There is something just round the corner, which is yet to be visible as the Sun’s rays hides it. The Full Moon in Gemini urges us to dive deep to find hope, joy and light as the New Year dawns. Though positivity would seem to be eluding us, tread ahead with high hopes as the year progresses.
Sun Transits Capricorn-( January 13 – February 12)
On the same day after opposing the Moon and forming the Full Moon, the Sun in Sagittarius transits to Capricorn and would be here for the next one-month period till the 12th of February. With this the Sun is entering the realms of Saturn. This transit would teach us lessons about solitude and loneliness. In Capricorn, the Sun would be aspected by Retrograde Mars. During this transit, we would feel some imbalance in powers around. And Retrograde Jupiter would be aspecting the Sun in Capricorn. This would bring about confusions with regard to the direction of our paths. Due to the aspect of Mars and Jupiter there would be no clarity about what we want out of life or where we are headed. There would be a push and pull act on the Sun making it to struggle during this transit. Capricorn is not generally a favorable place for the Sun to thrive. Hence, we are asked to slow down a bit, but continue with our routine works.
Retrograde Mars in Gemini - January 21
Retograding Mars in Cancer as the year started comes back to the sign of Gemini on the 21st of January. For the next 10 weeks Mercury would be transiting through Gemini. Mercury is the ruler of Gemini. Though Mercury and Mars do not do well as a team, works that need goods strategic planning and efficiency are much favored with this transit. Mars would be in Gemini for the next one-month period when things seem messy as it would be quite tough to analyse things logically. However, it would be a good time to find some hidden information that had been long under wraps. When Mars turns direct, we can use the information collected during its retrograde phase to plan for our future. Do make sure to slow down and remain low.
Mercury Transits Capricorn – (January 24 – February 10)
Mercury entered the sign of Sagittarius on the 3rd of January and on the 24th would shift position to the adjacent house of Capricorn where it would stay till the 10th of February. While in Capricorn, Mercury would be aspected by Retrograde Mars from Gemini. This brings about some frustrations, just slow down and follow a steady pace. Though our works may not be efficient, this is a good time to analyse and make long-term plans. As Mercury transits through Capricorn, the abode of Saturn, we are hit by reality and some good decisions can be made. Mercury loads us with a burst of energy to pursue our projects with ease during this transit. This is an ideal time to make plans for our secure future.
Venus Transits Pisces-( January 27 – May 31)
Venus transiting through Aquarius transits to the water sign of Pisces on the 27th of January and this transit lasts for about 4 months. In Pisces, Venus is said to be exalted. During this transit, Venus would turn retrograde in March-April. This transit of Venus is quite important in the sense that Venus would be shifting once again from an Evening star to a Morning star. For sometime, we would not be able to view the Venus as the Sun gets in close proximity. Venus in Pisces is now in exchange of signs with Jupiter, wherein Jupiter is currently placed in Venus’ home of Taurus and Venus is placed in Jupiter’s abode of Pisces. This is a good thing to behold for the time being as this would be a lifeline during some tough planetary influences around. Your relationships get strengthened as Venus transits through Pisces and so would be your creative pursuits.
New Moon in Capricorn- January 29
The New Moon for January 2025 occurs on the 29th , when the luminaries, the Sun and the Moon join together at 16 degrees of Capricorn. This new Moon urges us to stay grounded and be careful with our pace. Stay focussed and be aware of the changes around. This Sun-Moon combination in Capricorn would be aspected by the retrograding Mars and Jupiter. This might bring about some instability and unpredictable environment around. For the New Moon, lay low and pursue what looks best for you.
