Cancer is a group of diseases characterized by uncontrolled cell division leading to growth of abnormal tissues. It arises from both genetic and environmental factors. Cell multiplication is a normal physiologic process that occurs in almost all tissues and under many circumstances, such as response to injury, immune responses, or to replace cells that have died. Normally the balance between proliferation and cell death is tightly regulated to ensure the integrity of organs and tissues. Mutations in DNA that lead to cancer appear to disrupt these orderly processes. The uncontrolled and often rapid proliferation of cells can lead to either a benign tumor or a malignant tumor (cancer). Benign tumors do not spread to other parts of the body or invade other tissues, and they are rarely a threat to life. Malignant tumors can invade other organs, spread to distant locations and become life threatening. Lance Armstrong was an athlete who won the most sought after cyclist competition in the world the 'Tour de France' only after over coming cancer. The doctors gave him a 40 percent chance to live and no chance to return to his sport at all. The cancer had spread to his brain and after extensive chemotherapy his cancer went into remission. In his Mars Maha Dasha his great abilities came through. He entered Mars Maha Dasha in 1993. It was in October of 1996 that he was coughing up blood, finally went to the doctor and was diagnosed with testicular cancer. It had already spread to his lungs, abdomen and brain. After 4 rounds of chemotherapy, and surgery to remove 2 lesions on his brain and another to remove one testicle, his cancer was gone by 1997. Within the Mars Dasha he faced his greatest fears and reached his highest goals. Mars is the most powerful planet in this chart. Selenium to the rescue of Cancer

It has been found out recently that selenium can prevent cancer. Studies show that low selenium blood levels are associated with an increased risk of cancer. People with low selenium bloods levels are much more likely to develop lung cancer, especially if they smoke.

We need more selenium than most of us get in our diet. An additional 200 mcg/day of selenium, as selenomethionine or in an inorganic form, is well tolerated and has no side effects. It will help us enjoy optimal health, and live a long life cancer-free and mentally intact.
